Cypel Rewski, Sandy spit in Rewa, Poland.
Cypel Rewski is a sandy spit near Rewa that extends roughly one kilometer into Puck Bay. It acts as a natural divider between the inner bay and the Gulf of Gdansk.
The spit formed through marine currents along the gulf coast that deposited sediments across centuries. This gradual buildup created the landform visible today.
The annual Herring March brings together participants who walk 12 kilometers across the bay from Kuznica to Rewa, maintaining local traditions.
You can reach the spit by car with parking available or take a bus from nearby towns like Gdynia, Rumia, or Puck. Walking along the beach from Mechelinki is another pleasant way to approach the area.
The spit continues beneath the water surface as a shallow underwater ridge known as Rybitwia Mielizna. This submerged extension reaches depths of around one meter and stretches toward the Hel Peninsula.
