Kinoteatr Avrora

Kinoteatr Avrora was a cinema building on Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar featuring traditional Russian architectural elements from the early 20th century. The structure combined classical building features with modern screening facilities for public use.

The venue was established during the early Soviet period and became an entertainment center serving multiple generations of Krasnodar residents. It closed in 2015, marking the end of a long history as a cultural focal point for the city.

The theater served as a gathering place where residents could watch commercial films alongside independent works from local filmmakers. The venue played an important role in supporting creative expression within the community.

The building is located at number 169 Krasnaya Street in central Krasnodar and is easily accessible by foot or public transportation. Although the theater no longer operates as a cinema, the historic structure can still be viewed and photographed from the street.

The building preserves rare examples of cinema architecture from the transition period between tsarist and Soviet design principles. This blend of styles is uncommon in other surviving structures throughout the city.
