Памятник Муравьёву-Амурскому

The three-meter bronze statue represents Governor Muravyov-Amursky holding a scroll in his left hand, standing on a granite pedestal near the Amur River.

General Governor of Eastern Siberia Nikolai Muravyov-Amursky established Russian sovereignty over the left bank of the Amur River during his governance from 1847 to 1861.

The monument commemorates the administrator who expanded Russian territories in Siberia and initiated the development of the Amur region in the 19th century.

Visitors can locate the monument at coordinates 50°15′22″N 127°31′36″E on the embankment, where it was relocated 40 meters south during the 2014 renovation.

Local sculptor Nikolai Karnabeda created the model, which was cast in bronze at a factory in Belogorsk and unveiled during the city's 135th anniversary in 1993.
