Wudalianchi Geological Park

The park extends across 1,060 square kilometers, featuring 14 volcanoes and five lakes formed through ancient volcanic activities in northeastern China.

The geological formation of Wudalianchi began millions of years ago when volcanic eruptions created a system of interconnected lakes and mineral-rich landscapes.

The Holy Water Festival, recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritage, takes place annually to celebrate the mineral-rich waters of the five lakes.

The park maintains a network of marked trails, observation platforms, and visitor centers that provide access to volcanic formations and thermal features.

The park contains 1,044 species of wild plants, including 194 traditional Chinese medicinal herbs that grow in the mineral-enriched volcanic soil.
