Wudalianchi Geological Park

Wudalianchi Geological Park is a large protected area in northeastern China shaped by volcanic activity that created multiple crater formations and five interconnected lakes. The landscape displays varied lava terrain, thermal springs, and rock formations visible along established paths and viewpoints throughout the site.

Volcanic eruptions in this region occurred millions of years ago, shaping the present-day landscape of lakes and crater formations. These geological processes also created the mineral-rich springs that made the area significant for human settlement over time.
