Bukui Mosque, Religious complex in Jianhua District, Qiqihar, China
The mosque spans over 6,400 square meters and contains two prayer spaces that together accommodate 450 worshippers within its stone and wooden structures.
The East Mosque section was constructed in 1684, preceding the establishment of Qiqihar city by seven years, while the West Mosque was added in 1852.
The name Bukui derives from the Daur language meaning auspicious, reflecting the linguistic heritage of the local ethnic communities in northeast China.
The mosque stands at coordinates 47.348611 latitude and 123.945 longitude, situated on Mosque Road off Bukui Street in the Jianhua District.
The religious complex originally consisted of two separate mosques that merged into one institution in 1958, forming the largest Islamic center in Heilongjiang province.
