Галдоридон, Waterfall in Digoria, Russia.
Galdoridon is a waterfall near Digora that cascades in five stages over approximately 30 meters. At its base, white granite stones frame a natural pool where the water collects.
The area was named Kroshkin after a young mountaineer who died in the surrounding region. This name honors the mountaineer and remains associated with the natural formation.
The name comes from the Ossetian language, combining words that reference a bull and stone. This reflects the linguistic heritage of the region.
The waterfall can be reached via a marked trail of about 4 kilometers from Stur-Digora village. Benches and rest areas are positioned along the path for visitor comfort.
The water is fed by glaciers throughout the year and remains liquid even in winter. This prevents the waterfall from freezing completely during the coldest months.
