Kabardino-Balkarski Nature Reserve

Kabardino-Balkarski Nature Reserve is a protected area in the North Caucasus Mountains that preserves over 250 glaciers and numerous mountain peaks, many of which rise above 5000 meters. The landscape is defined by three river valleys that separate mountain ridges and create different habitats for the region's plants and animals.

The reserve contains the Bezengi Wall, a dramatic vertical rock face rising more than 2000 meters, which attracts mountaineers from around the world. This natural formation is a major draw for serious climbers, but the surrounding peaks also offer rewarding views for hikers of various skill levels.
