Tviberi Glacier

Tviberi Glacier is a large ice formation on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus, spreading across a significant area. The surface displays multiple tributary formations and is covered with morainal debris, creating a visually distinctive landscape.

Scientific study of Georgian glaciers, including this one, began in the 18th century with detailed landscape documentation. These early observations established the foundation for understanding these alpine formations today.
