Villa Pauli, Storängen, Office building in Storängen, Nacka Municipality, Sweden
Villa Pauli is a two-story wooden building with red horizontal panels and dark ochre decorative details, set on a high stone foundation. The structure has a straightforward layout with functional rooms and looks like a solid residential building from the early 1900s.
The building was built in 1905 as a home for artists Georg and Hanna Pauli, designed by architect Albin Brag. After decades as a private artist residence, it was later transformed into an office space.
The name Villa Pauli reflects the artists Georg and Hanna Pauli who lived and worked here. Visitors can still see the two separate studios on the upper floor, showing how the couple shared their workspace.
The building is visible from outside and displays its original appearance with the characteristic red panels. A renovation took place in 2009, keeping it in good condition as it now serves as editorial office space.
The main studio features a special balcony that allowed artists to view their works from different distances. This detail shows how thoughtfully the space was designed for creative work.
