Svindersviksbron, Bridge with cycle path and road access in Nacka, Sweden
The bridge spans 140 meters across Svindersviken and includes two steel arches that support the roadway through steel suspension cables.
The construction of Svindersviksbron began in May 2013 as part of the Kvarnholm connection project and opened for traffic on June 21, 2016.
The bridge color scheme was selected by architect Erik Andersson in collaboration with Treeline and ÅF to integrate with the surrounding landscape.
The structure maintains a sailing clearance of 18 meters and a minimum channel width of 25 meters to accommodate maritime traffic below.
German construction company Bilfinger SE assembled the bridge on the Kvarnholm side before positioning it across Svindersviken in April 2015.
