Svindersviksbron, Bridge with cycle path and road access in Nacka, Sweden
Svindersviksbron is a bridge with cycle path and road access in Nacka. The structure features two steel arches supporting the deck through suspension cables, creating space for boats to pass underneath.
Construction started in 2013 as part of a connection project in the Kvarnholm area and the bridge opened to traffic in 2016. The project linked land and water transport through strategic infrastructure design.
The bridge color scheme was selected by architect Erik Andersson in collaboration with Treeline and ÅF to integrate with the surrounding landscape.
The bridge serves both cyclists and drivers with clear sightlines and solid surfaces on each roadway. It is designed for year-round use, remaining safe to cross in winter weather.
German construction company Bilfinger SE assembled the bridge on the Kvarnholm side before positioning it across Svindersviken in April 2015.
