Mae Ai

Mae Ai is an administrative district in northern Thailand characterized by mountainous terrain and river valleys. The area contains villages and farmland distributed across sub-districts, with rivers flowing through the landscape.

The district became an independent administrative unit in 1967 when it was separated from a larger neighboring area. This division allowed for localized governance of the mountainous border region.
