Kozan, District in Adana Province, Turkey.

Located 68 kilometers northeast of Adana, Kozan extends across 1,903 square kilometers at an elevation of 120 meters above sea level.

The settlement, formerly known as Sis, dates back to 3000 BCE and served as the capital of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia during medieval times.

The district integrates numerous neighborhoods with traditional festivals that maintain the local customs through celebrations of Mediterranean gastronomy and agriculture.

Transportation networks connect Kozan to major Turkish cities, while the Kilgen River, a tributary of the Ceyhan, flows through the municipality toward the Mediterranean Sea.

The ancient Kozan Kalesi fortress stands on a rocky ridge at the center of the modern city, marking the location of the historical settlement.
