Kabataş Boys High School, Public high school in Beşiktaş district, Istanbul, Turkey
Kabataş Boys High School is a public secondary school located in the Beşiktaş district with views toward the Golden Horn. The building contains 38 classrooms and serves around 840 students taught by 75 educators.
The school was founded in 1908 by Sultan Abdul Hamid II as one of the early modern institutions in the Ottoman Empire. It relocated to its current building within the Feriye Palaces complex in 1928 and has shaped the neighborhood since then.
The school takes its name from its original waterfront location, with Kabataş referring to the area where it first stood. Today it remains a gathering place where students from different backgrounds interact, and the institution continues to host exchanges that connect local and international educational communities.
The school is centrally located in Beşiktaş and accessible by public transit. The campus sits next to historic palaces, making it practical to combine a visit with a walk through the surrounding neighborhood.
Two Turkish prime ministers studied here, along with numerous other government officials. The school's black and red colors have become a distinctive symbol of its identity and alumni network.
