Treaty of Lausanne Monument and Museum

This memorial features three concrete columns representing different regions, accompanied by additional sculptural elements across the grounds. An outdoor park with commemorative trees and a museum housed in the restored railway station building complete the complex.

The monument was established in 1998 by Trakya University and commemorates an agreement signed in 1923. That treaty defined the borders of the modern state following a major conflict.

The former railway station building now holds exhibitions connected to the Lausanne Conference. Visitors find personal items and written records from that period displayed inside.

The site is easily accessible on foot and offers both indoor and outdoor areas to explore. Plan time for the museum and a walk through the park to see the commemorative installations.

A concrete ring above the columns visually links the separate elements and represents national unity. A statue holds a dove and documents to express the concepts of justice and peace.
