Eastern District

Eastern District is an administrative region in Tainan made up of multiple villages connected by local roads and residential areas. The territory combines smaller settlements with more developed urban zones in a single district.

The district was formed in 1945 and marked a shift in local governance after World War II. This change followed the transition in Taiwan's political administration at that time.

Individual villages maintain gathering spaces where residents come together for traditional celebrations and take part in local community life. These places show how the neighborhoods stay connected to their customs and to each other.
