The Sentinels, High-rise residential towers in Lee Bank, Birmingham, England

The Sentinels consist of two 90-meter-tall towers, Cleveland Tower and Clydesdale Tower, each containing 31 floors of residential apartments in central Birmingham.

Built between 1967 and 1971, these residential towers emerged from Birmingham's post-war housing program, inspired by Chicago's Marina City development.

The towers attracted a diverse population in the 1970s and 1980s, including television personalities and members of Birmingham's LGBTQ+ community.

The buildings underwent extensive renovations after 1999, including new windows, modernized lifts, enhanced security systems, and improved communal spaces.

Each tower contains 244 apartments, making them the tallest residential buildings in Birmingham until the completion of Bank Tower 2 in 2019.
