Fulmer Falls, Waterfall in George W. Childs Recreation Site, United States
Fulmer Falls is a waterfall within George W. Childs Recreation Site that drops approximately 17 meters over Dingmans Creek. The site sits within a natural area in Pike County and connects to two other nearby waterfalls as part of an integrated trail network.
The land was donated to Pennsylvania in 1912 by newspaper publisher George William Childs, establishing protection for the natural landscape. It later became integrated into the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, ensuring long-term conservation of the site.
The site reflects the region's early industrial past through the remains of a historic mill that once operated along the creek, connecting visitors to the settlement patterns of rural Pennsylvania.
The trail system features boardwalks, steps, and observation areas positioned for safe viewing at key spots. Parking is available at the trailhead, and the site remains open year-round for walking.
The site reopened in late 2024 after major restoration work following storm damage from 2018, with newly built viewing areas. These improvements enhanced both access and safety for visitors exploring the falls.
