Originally constructed in 1925 as the Kentucky Hotel, the building transformed into residential apartments during the nationwide housing expansion of 1972.
The structure stands near significant Louisville landmarks, including the Seelbach Hotel and the Cathedral of the Assumption, forming part of the downtown architectural ensemble.
The residential complex contains 285 apartments and maintains a rooftop swimming pool on the seventh floor, providing residents with urban living options.
The property sold for 17.7 million dollars in 2019 and currently operates under the management of AMP Residential as the Flats on Fifth.
