L'Hirondelle Club

L'Hirondelle Club is a private social club located in Ruxton that contains two dining rooms, a terrace, and banquet spaces for events. The grounds include expansive outdoor areas with a large lawn suitable for ceremonies and celebrations.

Founded in 1872, the club became the oldest social establishment of its kind in the Baltimore region. It has maintained its core mission of creating spaces where people gather and form lasting friendships.

The facility follows traditional dress codes, requiring gentlemen to wear jackets in the Lounge Room while maintaining a cellular phone-free environment.

Members can access tennis and racquet courts, swimming pools, and dining facilities throughout the property. The club operates as a private space designed for members, so visits are restricted to those with membership or as guests of members.

The club maintains reciprocal membership agreements with other established Baltimore clubs including Baltimore Country Club and Elkridge Club. These partnerships extend membership privileges beyond the Ruxton grounds to allow members access to allied facilities.
