Stoneleigh Historic District

The neighborhood contains a collection of early 20th-century houses displaying Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, French Revival, Spanish Mission Revival, and Renaissance Revival architectural styles.

The initial development of Stoneleigh began in 1922 with 110 acres of land, followed by an expansion of 20 additional acres in 1954 at the former Stoneleigh Villa location.

The neighborhood serves as an example of suburban development patterns from the 1920s through the 1980s, reflecting the architectural preferences of each construction period.

The Maryland Historical Trust maintains records and maps of the district, providing documentation for research purposes and historical preservation guidelines.
