Paragon Park, Coastal amusement park in Hull, Massachusetts.
Paragon Park was a coastal amusement park in Hull located at Nantasket Beach, featuring a variety of rides and attractions for visitors of all ages. The grounds included several classic carousels, wooden roller coasters, and smaller attractions spread across the beach area.
The park opened in 1905 and became a popular destination on the Massachusetts coast for vacationers visiting Nantasket Beach. Operations ceased in 1984 when the land was cleared for residential development.
The name comes from an ancient term meaning an idealized place, reflecting its role as a gathering spot for leisure and entertainment. Families would spend entire days here together, making memories and enjoying rides alongside neighbors and friends.
The park's flat layout along the coast made it easy to walk through and explore all attractions across different zones. Visitors could plan their time to enjoy multiple rides and attractions at a comfortable pace during their stay.
A remarkable 1928 carousel built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company featuring intricately carved wooden horses and decorative figures survived the park's closure. This attraction now stands near an old train station, representing one of the few surviving rides from the original park.
