Popcorn Park Zoo, Animal sanctuary in Forked River, New Jersey
The Popcorn Park Animal Refuge spans 7 acres and provides care for more than 200 animals, including tigers, lions, bears, and monkeys.
The sanctuary began its mission in 1977 with the rescue of an injured raccoon and gradually expanded to accommodate various species requiring immediate assistance.
The facility demonstrates commitment to animal welfare by providing rehabilitation services and permanent homes for animals that experienced mistreatment or injuries.
The sanctuary welcomes visitors daily from 11 AM to 5 PM, with admission prices of $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children aged 3 to 11.
Beach terrain wheelchairs are available upon request to help visitors navigate the sandy paths throughout the sanctuary grounds.
