Pine Grove Cemetery

Pine Grove Cemetery is a burial ground covering about 175 developed acres with stone monuments, mausoleums, and landscaped paths distributed throughout the property. The grounds feature various graves and structures scattered across the terrain, with roads and walkways connecting different sections.

The cemetery was established in 1851 and grew through several land purchases in 1855, 1883, and 1892. These expansions allowed the grounds to become a significant burial place serving the community over generations.

The grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset, allowing visitors access throughout the day. Office support at the Ursula Chapel is available during weekday afternoons for those needing assistance or information.

The property contains 18 privately owned mausoleums alongside the City Mausoleum built in 1980, which has numerous crypts and niches. These structures reflect different burial choices made by families seeking alternatives to traditional graves.
