Quad City Botanical Center

The Quad City Botanical Center is a botanical garden in Rock Island featuring multiple themed garden spaces. The facility blends indoor and outdoor areas, displaying plant varieties adapted to different climate zones and growing conditions.

The center opened in 1998 with a mission to provide community education through plant collections. The facility has expanded over time, adding specialized garden areas to serve different visitor interests.

The Scott County Regional Authority Conifer Garden maintains over 40 specimens from Justin C. Harper, including rare varieties of Ginkgo biloba and Thuja standishii.

Wear comfortable shoes since there are multiple areas to explore on foot throughout the grounds. The garden is located in an accessible part of town with straightforward wayfinding markers.

A dedicated children's area includes a winding waterway system that lets young visitors explore water and plant growth through hands-on play. A separate garden section features elevated planting beds accessible to visitors with limited mobility.
