Rocky Sullivan's, Irish pub in Red Hook, Brooklyn, US

Rocky Sullivan's occupied a corner location at 46 Beard Street, featuring indoor seating areas, vintage phone booths, and Art Deco style decorations throughout the space.

Musicians Chris Byrne and journalist Patrick Farrelly established this Irish pub in 1996, initially opening at East 29th Street in Manhattan before relocating to Brooklyn.

The pub scheduled Irish language classes on Tuesdays, hosted literature readings by writers like Frank McCourt, and presented live music performances four nights each week.

The establishment served pizza, seafood, and local beers, while maintaining regular operations from 4 PM on weekdays and earlier hours during weekends until December 2024.

Every Thursday, patrons gathered for the World Famous Pub Quiz led by quizmaster Scott M.X. Turner, competing for various prizes in this community tradition.
