Saluki Stadium, Football stadium in Carbondale, Illinois, US.

Saluki Stadium is a college football stadium at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, with seating for around 15,000 spectators. A grass berm runs along the north end zone, offering an open-air seating area that adds to the overall capacity.

The stadium opened in 2010, replacing the older McAndrew Stadium that had long served the university. The change marked a new chapter for the football program at Southern Illinois University.

Games here bring together students, former students, and people from Carbondale who share a strong connection to Southern Illinois University football. The crowd fills the grass berm along the north end zone, giving the space a relaxed, open-air feel that sets it apart from enclosed venues.

The stadium is on Arena Drive in Carbondale and is easiest to reach by car, though parking fills up fast on game days so arriving early helps. Separate areas are available for club members and general visitors, so checking your ticket in advance makes entry smoother.

In 2017, the stadium was used as an official viewing site for a total solar eclipse because Carbondale sat almost exactly on the center line of the path of totality. The open grounds made it one of the most visited observation spots in the country that day.
