Mount Lafayette, Mountain summit in White Mountains, New Hampshire, US
Mount Lafayette rises to 1603 meters, forming the highest point of the Franconia Range within the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
The mountain received its name from General Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de La Fayette, who supported the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War.
The Appalachian Mountain Club maintains the Greenleaf Hut near the summit, providing shelter and information for hikers traversing the Franconia Range.
Multiple trails lead to the summit, with the Old Bridle Path and Greenleaf Trail starting from different parking areas in Franconia Notch State Park.
