New England Ski Museum

The New England Ski Museum contains 1,000 square feet of exhibits displaying equipment, artifacts, and photographs documenting skiing development in the northeastern United States.

Established in 1977, the museum relocated in 1982 to a former maintenance garage near Cannon Mountain Tramway, which opened as the first aerial passenger tramway in North America.

The museum maintains a collection of 1,300 pairs of skis, 1,600 clothing items, and extensive documentation about the 10th Mountain Division from World War II.

Visitors access the museum through Exit 34B off Interstate 93, at the base of Cannon Mountain, with free admission since 1992.

The museum receives support from 1,400 members across 35 states and 11 countries, publishing a quarterly journal with articles about skiing history and exhibition content.
