Summerhill House, Palladian manor house in County Meath, Ireland.
The 100-room Summerhill House featured limestone walls, arched chimney stacks, and large windows arranged in a symmetrical Palladian design pattern.
Built in 1731 by Sir Edward Lovett Pearce and Richard Cassels, the mansion served as the residence of the Viscounts Langford until 1921.
The mansion demonstrated the architectural transition between Palladian and Baroque styles, influencing Irish country house design in the 18th century.
The estate remained open to visitors until February 1921, when it was burned during the Irish War of Independence.
The Empress of Austria visited Summerhill House in 1879 for hunting activities, marking its status among European aristocracy.
