Schloss Riet

Schloss Riet is a water castle in Vaihingen an der Enz featuring a prominent south-facing facade with four corner towers and two timber-frame levels above solid stone walls. The structure blends medieval defensive elements with later modifications into a cohesive fortified appearance.

The structure originated in the 12th century as a defensive fortress built by the Hohenstaufen dynasty. Major renovations during the 15th and 16th centuries shaped the building that stands today.
