Humboldt Box, Exhibition structure in Berlin-Mitte, Germany
The Humboldt Box, a five-story modern building with glass panels, stands 28 meters tall near Museum Island in central Berlin's Schloßplatz.
Opened in June 2011, this temporary structure served as an information center for the Humboldt Forum project until its removal in February 2019.
The building contained exhibitions from Berlin's Ethnological Museum, Museum of Asian Art, and Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, presenting global cultural perspectives.
The structure included a rooftop restaurant, viewing terraces, and 3,000 square meters of exhibition space overlooking the Lustgarten and Berlin Cathedral.
Within 50 days of opening, the turquoise-colored architectural structure welcomed over 100,000 visitors interested in the future Humboldt Forum development.
