Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, Amusement park in Casa de Campo, Madrid, Spain
Parque de Atracciones de Madrid is an amusement park on a wooded hillside in Casa de Campo, with roller coasters and water rides for different age groups. The complex is divided into several themed areas, each offering its own rides and play zones.
The park opened in the late 1960s as one of Spain's first large leisure facilities, offering mainly mechanical rides at the time. In the late 1990s, the site underwent a major renovation and new roller coasters were added.
The name comes from its location within Casa de Campo, a large wooded area on the city edge. Families gather here mainly on weekends and during summer holidays, when rides stay open late into the evening.
Access is via Metro station Batán or several bus lines, with free parking available for drivers. The park sits on hilly terrain, so comfortable shoes are recommended and allow extra time to move between zones.
A permanent horror experience based on a well-known television series runs throughout the year. Visitors walk through a staged setting with dark scenery and live actors.
