Tornado

Tornado is a steel roller coaster at Parque de Atracciones in Madrid's Casa de Campo neighborhood. The ride features three inversions - two loops and one corkscrew - that turn riders upside down multiple times during the journey.

The ride opened in 1999 as one of the park's earlier attractions and has operated for more than two decades. Its proven design has made it a lasting feature at the location throughout multiple generations of visitors.

The Tornado serves as an educational tool in physics classes, demonstrating practical applications of mathematical and scientific principles through its design.

Riders must be at least 120 centimeters tall to board this ride. Wear loose clothing and secure footwear to ensure comfort during the three inversions and rapid movements throughout the journey.

This ride uses a traditional chain lift system to haul the train up the track, unlike the magnetic launch systems found on many newer inverted coasters. The old-fashioned method is part of what makes this experience feel different from modern alternatives.
