Black Nore Lighthouse, Grade II listed cast iron lighthouse in Portishead, England.
The cylindrical white metal tower rises 11 meters above the coastline, featuring an observation room, balcony, and lantern at its summit.
Trinity House constructed this maritime navigation aid in 1894 to guide vessels through the Severn Estuary and into Bristol Harbour.
The Ashford family maintained the lighthouse manually until World War II, representing a generation of dedicated maritime safety professionals.
Visitors can access the lighthouse by following the coastal path from Kilkenny Fields, where parking spaces are available during summer.
The structure exhibits a Pepperpot design, one of only two lighthouses of this architectural style remaining in the British Isles.
