Black Nore Lighthouse, Grade II listed cast iron lighthouse in Portishead, England.

Black Nore Lighthouse is a cast iron tower in Portishead standing about 11 meters tall with a white cylindrical form. The structure features an observation room, a balcony, and a lantern chamber at the top.

Trinity House built this lighthouse in 1894 to guide ships through the Severn Estuary and into Bristol Harbour. The structure became an essential aid for maritime navigation in this busy waterway.

The lighthouse served as a vital landmark for sailors navigating the waters around Portishead for generations. Today it stands as a reminder of the maritime past and the importance of such structures for safe passage.

The lighthouse is accessible via the coastal path from Kilkenny Fields, where parking is available during summer months. The location sits right on the coast, making it convenient for a seaside walk.

This lighthouse features a rare Pepperpot design, an architectural style found in only two lighthouses across the British Isles. This distinctive appearance makes it a noteworthy example of historical lighthouse engineering.
