Church of St Peter, Portishead

The Church of St Peter is a medieval parish church in Portishead featuring a distinctive four-stage tower with decorative buttresses and a pierced stone parapet. The building displays characteristic Perpendicular Gothic design throughout its structure.

This parish church was founded in 1320, built upon earlier foundations that had supported religious gatherings for centuries. The structure underwent significant rebuilding during the 14th and 15th centuries, shaping its current appearance.

The church maintains eight bells in its tower, with six installed in 1743 and two additional trebles added in 1900 for regular Sunday services.
