Church of St Peter, Portishead, Medieval parish church in Portishead, England
The Church of St Peter features a prominent four-stage tower rising to 94 feet with buttresses and a pierced parapet at its summit.
The current structure was constructed in 1320 on earlier foundations, followed by rebuilding phases during the 14th and 15th centuries in Perpendicular Gothic style.
The church maintains eight bells in its tower, with six installed in 1743 and two additional trebles added in 1900 for regular Sunday services.
The parish office operates from St Barnabas Centre on West Hill, offering support for weddings, baptisms, and other religious ceremonies throughout the week.
The churchyard contains memorial graves of three Royal Navy sailors and an airman who served during World War II.
