Four Seasons Hong Kong, hotel in Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Four Seasons Hong Kong is a hotel inside the International Finance Centre in the Central district, directly above the airport express station. The property occupies the upper floors of the tower and offers rooms and serviced apartments that face either the harbour or the city skyline.
The hotel opened in September 2005 as part of the International Finance Centre complex, which was completed in phases during the early 2000s on reclaimed land in Victoria Harbour. It quickly became a regular address for business travelers and international visitors passing through Central.
The hotel is home to two restaurants that have each held three Michelin stars for many years running. Visitors who dine there find a mix of Cantonese and French cooking within the same building, side by side.
The hotel sits directly above the Airport Express station inside the International Finance Centre, making arrival from the airport straightforward without needing a taxi. Once inside, the complex can feel large and multi-level, so it is worth asking staff at the desk to point you in the right direction.
Lung King Heen, the Cantonese restaurant on the property, was the first Chinese restaurant anywhere in the world to receive three Michelin stars, which happened in 2009. That recognition changed how critics and travelers looked at Cantonese cooking as a form of high-end dining.
