MOL Campus, Office building in Budapest District IX, Hungary.
MOL Campus is a 143-meter office tower with 28 floors in Budapest's 9th District. The structure combines a slender tower with a connected podium building in neomodern style.
Foster and Partners began the project in 2018 to create a new headquarters for a Hungarian corporation. Construction finished in December 2022, bringing together previously separate locations.
The name refers to a Hungarian energy company that brought together its scattered divisions under one roof here. The design follows an open-plan concept where employees move between different work zones depending on their tasks.
The complex features 21 elevators and accommodates up to 2,500 employees. Access is limited to staff and registered visitors since this is an active corporate campus.
The building uses a geothermal energy system that regulates temperature through groundwater drawn from 100 meters (330 feet) below ground. On the roof sits 900 square meters (9,688 square feet) of solar panels supplying part of the power needs.
