Saint Vincent de Paul church in Középsőferencváros, Catholic parish church in Középsőferencváros, Hungary
Saint Vincent de Paul church is a Neo-Romanesque building with three naves, a transept, and a semicircular sanctuary at its center. A square tower roughly 50 meters high stands on the right side of the main facade and shapes the structure's outer appearance.
The building was constructed between 1935 and 1936 following architect Gáspár Fábián's plans and consecrated in October 1936 by Cardinal Jusztinián Serédi. This period marked a series of church construction projects that reshaped Budapest.
The stained glass windows created by József Palka display scenes from Saint Vincent de Paul's life and shape the interior experience. These artworks tell the saint's story through colored light that visitors notice when walking through the building.
The church features a modern ossuary for urns that was renovated in 2001 for burials. Visitors will find regular religious services and sacrament preparation held throughout the year.
The bell tower holds two bells cast by László Szlezák: a large bell weighing roughly 360 kilograms and a smaller one of roughly 110 kilograms. The smaller bell is dedicated to Saint Anne and carries its own story with every ring.
