Botanical Garden, Botanical garden in District VIII, Budapest, Hungary.

The garden contains over 8,000 plant species across 3.5 hectares of land, including 2,000 square meters of greenhouse space in central Budapest.

Established in 1771 in Nagyszombat for medical education, the garden relocated multiple times before settling at its current location in 1847.

The garden gained fame through Ferenc Molnár's novel 'The Paul Street Boys,' where the old palm house served as a hiding place.

The garden opens daily with seasonal hours, offering guided tours and educational programs about plant biodiversity and conservation.

The Victoria House, built in 1893, was the first structure in Hungary designed specifically to house the Amazon water lily.
