Orczy Garden

Orczy Garden is a public park in the Pest district featuring a central lake set within a 3-hectare space. The grounds include basketball courts, soccer fields, running tracks, and an outdoor fitness area.

The park was established in the late 18th century by Baron László Orczy as a recreational space that originally housed one of the city's largest greenhouses. This early gardening role shaped its development into the modern leisure site it became.

The space functions as a gathering place where locals meet regularly for outdoor concerts, sporting events, and seasonal celebrations. These activities shape the rhythm of neighborhood life and demonstrate the site's importance to residents.

The park is located at Orczy út 1 and is easily accessible from either Nagyvárad tér or Klinikák metro stations. It opens early in the morning daily, providing straightforward access to all facilities on the grounds.

The site includes Orczy Kalandpark, a special adventure playground that weaves climbing structures and activity stations into the natural landscape. This element sets it apart from typical urban leisure areas and provides a distinctive experience for visitors across all ages.
