Jaipur Column

The Jaipur Column is a sandstone pillar located on the grounds of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of India's President in New Delhi. It features carefully carved decorative elements and was built as part of the city's grand architectural design.

The column was designed and built in the 1930s as part of New Delhi's urban complex, which was planned during British rule. It formed part of the larger government project that shaped the new Indian capital.

The column integrates Indian architectural traditions with British design principles, representing the fusion of two distinct building styles.

The monument sits on private government grounds and is generally not open to the public. It can be best seen and photographed from outside the grounds or from nearby roads.
