The Ayyappan Temple contains separate shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vinayagar, Sri Murugan, Maha Vishnu, and Goddess Durga within its premises.
In 1942, a group of devoted followers initiated the temple construction project, leading to its consecration ceremony, Kumbhabhishekam, on March 24, 1969.
The temple maintains religious practices identical to those at Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, making it a significant center for Hindu worship in Tamil Nadu.
Located 3 kilometers from Coimbatore Junction, this temple welcomes visitors daily from 5 AM to 11 AM and again from 5 PM to 9 PM without entry fees.
The temple features a golden Dhwaja Stambha, or flagstaff, installed in 1972, making it the only temple in Tamil Nadu with this particular characteristic.
