TIDEL Park opened in 2006 on Avinashi Road in Peelamedu, built within the ELCOT SEZ. Its name joins the initials of TIDCO and ELCOT, the two Tamil Nadu state agencies that jointly run it. It was set up to bring information technology facilities to Coimbatore.
