The Shapuri Bridge stretches 312 meters in length and rises 10.75 meters high, featuring a construction of stone and mortar materials throughout its structure.
Built during the Sassanid Empire period, this ancient bridge originally contained 28 arches, though only 6 of these architectural elements remain intact today.
The bridge stands as a registered National Monument of Iran, demonstrating the advanced engineering capabilities of Persian architects during the Sassanid period.
Located at coordinates 33°28′05″N and 48°20′19″E, the bridge remains accessible from the main roads leading into the city of Khorramabad.
Each of the 27 pile bridges within the structure measures 61 square meters, creating a symmetrical pattern across its remaining sections.
