Pellegrini chapel

The Pellegrini Chapel sits inside Sant'Anastasia church and features large frescoes covering its interior walls. These paintings depict Saint George and the Princess of Trebizond in detailed scenes created in the 1430s.

A noble family commissioned this chapel around 1430, when wealthy families in Verona actively invested in religious buildings. The frescoes were painted just a few years later, in the early 1430s.

The chapel is open daily as part of Sant'Anastasia church and accessible to visitors at any time. Morning hours offer the best lighting to see the painted details clearly.

A marriage agreement was signed here between two local families, marking the chapel as a place where important family matters were settled. This shows how it served purposes beyond just prayer and worship.
