Sanno Park Tower, Skyscraper in Nagatachō, Japan.
Sanno Park Tower is an office high-rise in Nagatachō within the Chiyoda district of Tokyo, rising 194.5 meters (638 feet) with 44 floors above ground and 4 underground levels. The building is served by 59 elevators and features direct access to Tameike-Sanno subway station.
Completed in January 2000, the complex was built on the former site of the Sanno Hotel, which operated from 1932 until its demolition in 1996. The construction reshaped one of the central areas in Tokyo's government district.
The tower combines Art Nouveau design language with daily office life, as its steel structure and glass walls create a contemporary workspace. Its position in the government district makes it a landmark for business travelers and commuters moving between offices and subway connections.
The underground connection to the subway station provides shelter during rain and ensures quick links to other parts of the city. The number of elevators reduces waiting time even during morning rush hours.
Windows facing the Prime Minister's residence remain permanently locked for security reasons. This measure applies to all buildings in close proximity to government facilities.
