Akasaka Blitz, Concert venue in Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan
Akasaka Blitz was a music venue located within the Akasaka Sacas complex, featuring a ground floor standing area with capacity for about 1,100 people and a second floor seating section. The two-level layout allowed for different concert formats depending on the type of performance and expected crowd size.
Tokyo Broadcasting System Television opened this venue in 1996 as part of its entertainment infrastructure in Akasaka. After renovation work, it reopened in 2008 with comparable interior features before closing permanently in 2020.
The venue became a gathering place for Tokyo's music lovers, who came to experience Japanese and international artists performing across many genres. The space drew crowds of devoted fans who connected through live music and the energy of performances.
The venue was directly connected to Akasaka Station, making it easy for visitors to arrive and depart. Being part of the TBS Television complex meant straightforward access and clear orientation within the surrounding area.
Mynavi Corporation acquired naming rights to the venue in 2017, renaming it before the space closed just years later. This brief final chapter under a new name is often overlooked compared to its earlier decades of operation.
