Prudential Tower, Skyscraper in Nagatachō, Japan
The Prudential Tower is a 38-story skyscraper in central Tokyo with residential apartments, offices, and shops. The building combines living space, work areas, and retail on various levels throughout its structure.
The building was completed in 2002 by Taisei Corporation, replacing the former Hotel New Japan that once stood on this site. Its construction included enhanced fire safety systems designed into the structure.
The building sits close to the Hie Shrine and other historical sites that define this district. Its modern spaces stand in contrast with the traditional structures nearby, creating a blend of old and new in this part of Tokyo.
The building connects directly to Akasaka-mitsuke Station and houses restaurants, cafes, and a 24-hour bilingual front desk. Visitors and residents have easy access to various amenities within and around the structure.
Homes on the 26th floor and above offer views of Mount Fuji to the west through large windows. Units range from one to three bedrooms, making these upper levels particularly sought after by residents.
