Misato Observatory, Public astronomical observatory in Kimino, Japan.

The Misato Observatory stands at 400 meters elevation with a 105-centimeter Cassegrain reflecting telescope and an observation deck offering mountain views.

The facility opened on July 7, 1995, after the location received recognition in the 1987 Starry Sky City Contest by Japan's Environment Agency.

Astronomers and volunteers guide visitors through celestial observations during scheduled evening programs, sharing knowledge about constellations and space phenomena.

The observatory operates stargazing tours on Thursday through Sunday evenings, with admission fees of 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for students.

The facility contains one of Japan's first telescopes designed specifically for observing hydrogen atom emissions in space research.
