The Shinjuku Terrace City extends along a 350-meter boardwalk from Shinjuku Station, containing restaurants, cafes, and retail establishments across multiple floors.
The development opened in April 1998 as part of Odakyu Group's real estate expansion, built above the Odakyu Odawara railway line near Takashimaya Times Square.
The terrace area transforms throughout the year with seasonal illuminations and events, reflecting Japanese customs of celebrating different periods with specific decorations.
Visitors can access four floors of diverse dining options, including Mexican, Italian, and Japanese restaurants, plus a hotel occupying floors 19 through 35.
The complex features an elevated walkway design that integrates natural elements and greenery within Tokyo's urban landscape, creating outdoor dining spaces.
